Does Feng-Shui Really Work?

by Dorothy Fagan on Jul.01, 2010, under Going with the Flow

Soaring by Dorothy FaganFeng-shui is the Japanese way of saying whether one’s space in harmony with with Mother Nature. To the Western way of saying it, incorporating natural colors and shapes when designing our living space unifies us with earth, allowing creative energy to flow more readily.

Blocked Energy Many people have experienced blocked creative energy as not being able to get ideas. Yet it also blocks other things as well, including the natural flow of healing. Contrary to popular thought, we are not designed to wear out like machines. We are not machines! We are human beings …

Self Expression Human beings have the capacity of free expression. This expression plays an integral role in the natural movement of creative energy. Living in harmony with the flow (feng-shui) means simply allowing the energy to flow through us, allowing it to heal and restore us one with our Source.

Healing through Art & Nature Creating and incorporating art in daily life, enhances our connection and promotes the flow of creativity and healing energy. Many people respond to the soothing spectrum of nature’s palette; experiencing a sunset, a day at the beach, or a view of the water. Bringing these colors home extends the restorative effects.

So, do you believe in Feng-shui? Unlike what some may think, energy is not a function of belief. Energy is visible as color and light, measurable as wavelengths. We innately know its healing quality, as we feel its effect each time the sky changes from dark gray to bright blue. Other subtle shifts also alter our brightness, values and hue.

Shift the Flow We can shift our flow of creative energy simply by bringing our inner world (our home) into harmony with the earth. This grounds us, making it easier for Creative Sparks to fly!
